Collection Night – Ausstellung in Berlin

This night of private institutions and collections in Berlin is a contribution to the visualization of private engagement, which contributes significantly to the diversity of the Berlin art field. With individual programs and formats, 12 collections participate: Bergmeier Collection, Boros Collection, The Feuerle Collection, Haubrok Collection, Kienzle Art Foundation, me Collectors Room, Rocca Foundation, Ulrich Seibert Collection, Julia Stoschek Collection, Wemhöner Collection, Ivo Wessel Collection, Collection Wurlitzer Berlin - Pied-à-terre.

On the occasion of the first Collection Night in Berlin the screening of the Arte-documentation “China’s super collectors” will take place on Friday, 23.08.2019 respectively at 8+10 p.m.
At 9 p.m. Kolja Reichert will speak with the directors Grit Lederer and Minh An Szabó de Bucs.

Chinese collectors are ubiquitous in the international art market. They spend millions in US Dollars on works by Picasso, Modigliani, van Gogh or the French Impressionists. At the same time, they are buying Chinese imperial artefacts – and presenting them as trophies. The Arte-documentation of “China’s super collectors” provides an exclusive look into the world of Chinese billionaires: open for the first time and thus economic and cultural politically relevant persons of a Western film crew the doors.
